Minnesota Twins Lineup Changes for 2008 Season

February 18, 2008 - Beginning this season, the Minnesota Twins have given their starting lineup a complete makeover. After their rival team the Detroit Tigers acquired two former Florida Marlins All-Stars Miguel Cabrera and Dontrell Willis, the Twins look to jump into rebuilding mode.

As of recently, the Twins still have not addressed the public concerning their absence in a lead off hitter.

The Twins have below the league average in batting average and on base percentages during the past three seasons and look to improve upon their efforts. With the help of new athletes, Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau and Michael Cuddyer, the team has set the table for improvement and success.


Twins Look to Close Deal with Joe Nathan

February 18, 2008 - According to Minnesota Twins closer, Joe Nathan, contract talks seem to be serious and heading in a good direction. Nathan, a member of the team for the past four seasons with the Twins, said he feels confident that recent discussions will lead to a positive outcome.

Thought talk broke up 10 days ago, Nathan arrived at training camp this past Sunday. The underlying message Nathan said he feels he has gotten has been nothing but wanting him to stay with the team. According to Nathans, he is sure they have not felt the need to trade him.

Nathan is currently looking for a contract stipulating a $10 million to $12 million salary. Nathan said the next six weeks will produce more answers for the upcoming season as well as his status with the team.
